We recently attended an inspirational shadow-puppetry presentation exploring creative narratives of climate anxiety and the human impacts on water in our lives and landscape by our newest member Margot Edwards of The Wilding Stories. Various climate-environment and arts-related local advisers joined together for a fun deep dive into the intersection of photography, videography, fabric, found object, live soundscape and shadow work.
The Tipping Point collective of writers have now finished the first draft of the poetic script. Meanwhile the ensemble of five musicians have recorded three hours of resonant soundscape channeling the ‘call of the ancient feminine spirit of country’ and a child’s imaginings of the ‘sounds of playful water spirits’. This has been combined with inspirational imagery which has produced a visual presentation from the shadow play session for next year’s community engagement project being developed in Margaret River and Balingup.
