Privacy Policy

Creative Corner (“Creative Corner”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information of everyone who visits our website, creates a Member account, or subscribes to a paid Subscriber plan (together, the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and disclose it, and the rights you have in relation to it.

This Privacy Policy is prepared to comply with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (“Privacy Act”). By using the Site, creating a Member account, or subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Policy.

1. Who We Are

Creative Corner is an online platform that allows visitors to browse content, register as a Member, and subscribe to paid Subscriber plans for additional features or content. This Policy applies to all personal information we collect through the Site, our related mobile experiences, customer support channels, and marketing communications.

2. Information We Collect

We collect personal information in the following categories, depending on how you interact with the Site.

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Account registration (Members): name, email address, username, password (stored in encrypted/hashed form), and profile details you choose to add (such as a bio, avatar, or location).
  • Subscription details (Subscribers): billing name, billing address, subscription plan selected, and transaction history. We do not directly collect or store full payment card numbers — see Section 4.
  • Content and communications: comments, posts, uploads, messages, or other content you submit, along with any correspondence you send us (e.g. support enquiries, feedback forms).
  • Marketing preferences: your choices about receiving newsletters, product updates, or promotional emails.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, referring/exit pages, and pages viewed.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: we use cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies for site functionality, analytics, and marketing purposes. See Section 6 (Cookies and Analytics) for details.
  • Analytics data: aggregated and individual usage patterns, such as time spent on pages, click paths, and feature engagement, collected via analytics tools.

2.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Payment processors: confirmation of successful or failed payments, subscription status, and limited billing metadata (see Section 4).
  • Social sign-on or referral services (if used): basic profile information you authorise those services to share with us.

3. How We Use Your Personal Information

We use personal information for the following purposes, consistent with APP 6:

  • To create, maintain, and administer your Member account and Subscriber subscription.
  • To process payments, renewals, upgrades, downgrades, and cancellations of subscriptions.
  • To provide, personalise, and improve the features, content, and functionality of the Site.
  • To communicate with you about your account, transactions, and changes to our terms or policies.
  • To send marketing communications, newsletters, and promotional offers, where you have consented or as otherwise permitted by law (with an option to opt out at any time).
  • To monitor, analyse, and improve Site performance, security, and user experience through analytics.
  • To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or breaches of our Terms of Use.
  • To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.

4. Payments and Third-Party Payment Processors

Subscription payments on Creative Corner are processed by third-party payment processors (such as Stripe or PayPal), not directly by Creative Corner. When you subscribe, your payment card or account details are submitted directly to our payment processor and are handled in accordance with that processor’s own privacy policy and security standards (including PCI-DSS compliance).

Creative Corner does not store your full card number, CVV, or equivalent sensitive payment credentials on our own servers. We receive limited transaction information from our payment processor — such as payment status, subscription tier, invoice amounts, and a masked/last-four card reference — which we use to manage your subscription and provide support.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of our payment processors directly, as their handling of your payment information is governed by their own terms.

5. Disclosure of Personal Information

We may disclose your personal information to:

  • Service providers: hosting providers, payment processors, email/communications platforms, analytics providers, and customer support tools, who process personal information on our behalf and under contractual confidentiality obligations.
  • Professional advisers: lawyers, accountants, or auditors, where reasonably necessary.
  • Law enforcement or regulators: where required or authorised by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Creative Corner, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers: a purchaser or prospective purchaser, in the event of a merger, acquisition, restructure, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Some of our service providers (such as analytics or payment processors) may store or process data on servers located outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, as required by APP 8.

6. Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors, Members, and Subscribers use our content.

  • Essential cookies: required for login sessions, account security, and core Site functionality. These cannot be disabled without affecting the Site’s operation.
  • Analytics cookies: help us understand traffic patterns, popular content, and feature usage, so we can improve the Site. We may use third-party analytics providers (such as Google Analytics) for this purpose.
  • Marketing cookies: used to tailor promotional content and measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns, including emails and any advertising we run.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Where required, we will seek your consent before setting non-essential cookies. You may also opt out of marketing emails at any time using the “unsubscribe” link included in each communication, or by updating your notification preferences in your account settings.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure, as required by APP 11. These measures include encryption of passwords, secure hosting environments, restricted internal access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Site and services, meet legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you close your Member account or cancel your Subscriber plan, we will delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, unless we are required to retain it (for example, transaction records for tax purposes).

9. Your Rights and Access to Your Information

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate, out-of-date, or incomplete information.
  • Withdraw consent to marketing communications at any time.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Lodge a complaint about how we have handled your personal information (see Section 11).

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 12. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe and may need to verify your identity before actioning it.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed at children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 without appropriate parental or guardian consent. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without appropriate consent, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

11. Complaints and How to Contact the Privacy Commissioner

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles or mishandled your personal information, please contact us first using the details in Section 12 so we can investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC):
