Creative Tech Village (CTV) is Western Australia’s State supported Creative Technology Innovation Hub, headquartered in Bunbury and delivering impact across regional and metropolitan WA. Established to strengthen the State’s creative technology capability, CTV operates a distributed hub model anchored by the {B}LAB innovation space, enabling place based activation while maintaining statewide reach.

CTV’s core role is to connect and grow the creative technology ecosystem by supporting startups, SMEs, creatives, students and industry to adopt emerging technologies and commercialise new ideas. Priority technology domains include artificial intelligence, immersive and extended reality, digital production, interactive media and cross sector creative applications.

Through a structured program portfolio, CTV delivers founder and SME acceleration initiatives such as Bandwidth, capability building workshops, industry showcases, hackathons, and targeted skills programs aligned to future workforce needs. These activities are designed to improve business innovation capability, strengthen regional participation in the innovation economy, and create clear pathways from education to employment and entrepreneurship.

CTV works in close partnership with State and local government, Regional Development Commissions, universities, industry bodies and other WA innovation hubs to ensure coordinated ecosystem development. The organisation plays a convening role that builds collaboration between creative industries, technology sectors and traditional industries undergoing digital transformation.

A strong emphasis is placed on inclusive participation, particularly for regional communities, women and Aboriginal practitioners, ensuring equitable access to innovation infrastructure and opportunities.

CTV’s programs and partnerships directly support the WA Innovation Strategy, Diversify WA and Creative WA priorities by enabling technology adoption, building future skills, attracting investment and contributing to sustainable regional economic growth.
