Mia Burley

Mia has over 15 years of experience in interpretive design, and placemaking with the public realm. She specialises in transforming themes, stories, and cultural narratives into engaging visual experiences across a range of mediums, creating meaningful and accessible storytelling through design. Her work spans local government, museums, zoos, botanic gardens, memorials, and other high-visitation destinations. Mia brings extensive multidisciplinary experience from her decade at Arterial Design in Melbourne, and 5 years at Apparatus in Perth where she worked as both a graphic designer, creative producer and project manager. She has strong conceptual and creative skills, combined with practical expertise in project delivery from concept through to fabrication and installation. Her experience includes stakeholder consultation, community engagement, workshop facilitation, detailed documentation, quality management, costings, and budget tracking.
