Through Margaret River Printmaking, Francesco offers creative courses for beginners, practising artists and anyone curious about learning through making. The courses introduce participants to techniques such as linocut, monoprinting, line etching, non-toxic intaglio, paper lithography, photographic image transfer and other experimental processes.
Each course provides practical, step-by-step guidance while encouraging participants to develop their own imagery and personal artistic language. Students learn how to prepare plates, transfer designs, work with inks and papers, use a printing press and produce finished handmade prints.
More than technical instruction, the courses are about slowing down, experimenting and discovering the unique possibilities of printmaking. Mistakes, unexpected marks and variations are embraced as part of the creative process. Classes are welcoming, supportive and suitable for different levels of experience.
Inspired by the landscape and creative community of Margaret River, the courses offer participants an opportunity to connect with materials, ideas and other people while gaining skills they can continue using in their own artistic practice.
